How payment works for your first order

Learn when SimplePills collects payment for your first order, why payment information is provided earlier, and what happens before your order moves into dispensing.

When you place your first order with SimplePills, you will provide your payment information as part of the order. You are not charged at that time. Our system verifies the payment information so it is ready when the order is confirmed.

When am I charged?

For your first order, payment is collected only after the prescription and order are in place and our pharmacist has completed the required review and consultation with you.

Before payment is collected, we can still adjust the order if something needs to change. This gives us a chance to confirm the final medication, strength, quantity, and order total with you before you are charged.

Once everything is confirmed, payment is collected and the medication moves into dispensing.

Why do I provide payment information earlier?

Providing payment information when the order is created helps us streamline the process.

Our system can verify the payment information in advance without charging you. Then, as soon as the pharmacist consultation is complete and the order is confirmed, we can collect payment and move the medication into dispensing without asking you to return and complete another checkout step.

We try to dispense and ship medication as quickly as possible. In most cases, once an order is ready to move forward, the medication can be dispensed the same day. Having the payment information ready helps us avoid unnecessary delays.

What if something needs to change before I am charged?

Sometimes we find that something needs to be clarified before the order can move ahead. For example, the prescription may not match the medication, strength, or quantity selected on the order.

If the order needs to be changed, we will contact you before moving forward. We will make sure the order reflects what was prescribed and confirm the final details and order total with you before payment is collected.

Our goal is to resolve these details before you are charged, rather than charging first and correcting the order afterward.

What payment methods do you accept?

SimplePills accepts credit cards and e-checks.

An e-check works much like a physical check, except you do not need to mail the check to us. We can process the payment electronically using the information from your check.

If there is a problem processing the payment, we will contact you so it can be resolved before the order continues.

What happens after payment?

Once payment is collected, your order is confirmed and moves into dispensing.
